Job Description
- Lead the game development department in achieving organisational targets.
- You will be a hands-on developer with a can-do attitude working on current & future projects.
- Ensure all work is documented so that knowledge can be shared across the department.
- Set quality standards and team working procedures, oversee and appraise team performance.
- Manage and maintain excellent working relationships with dev teams, build on collaboration, brainstorming, and communication.
- Identify and resolve roadblocks together with team leaders towards a smooth cross-team workflow.
- Mentor and develop team leaders in recruitment, motivation, and skill development.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture across the department.
- Organise and prioritise non-roadmap initiatives for organisational and technological improvements.
- Work closely with Product Owners and the executive team to define and improve the product strategy.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to address and resolve external factors such as compliance and business requirements without disrupting operations.
WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
- University Degree in computer science, software development or similar
- Previous experience of leading and managing teams within a large digital organization
- Strong tech product delivery background
- Demonstrated leadership in managing, coaching, and mentoring of a globally distributed team (espousing a servant leadership approach, preferably)
- Catalyst for change, innovation and continuous improvement, advancing ideas into action
- Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to navigate complex corporate environments and influence stakeholders and partners
- Excellent communication, with the ability to explain complex technical problems to non-technical audiences
- Experience managing complex development partner and 3rd party relationships
